國民黨總統初選民調12日和13日進行，3家民調機構將同步啟動調查作業，在2天內利用3時段完成，每家民調有效樣本數需達1200份。根據國民黨中央規畫，14日上午將舉行記者會公布結果，若唯一參選人、立法院副院長洪秀柱跨過30%支持度，17日中常會將處理提名案。
據了解，民調題目只有5題，包含戶籍、個人支持度、對比支持度、性別和年齡；民調時間定在12日晚間6時到10時，13日下午2時到5時、晚間6時到10時。屆時調查會先問個人支持度，接著問洪秀柱和民進黨總統參選人蔡英文的對比提問，取消變動題目順序的慣例。
藍營人士認為，洪秀柱目前聲勢水漲船高，評估跨過30%民調門檻，應該不困難。若順利的話，國民黨祕書長李四川預計14日上午10時拆封並宣布民調結果。
洪秀柱11日與年輕支持者共同錄製第一首競選歌曲〈勇敢翻轉〉，呼籲大家拋開顏色，真誠相待，一起勇敢翻轉。洪秀柱說，選舉過程中總要有個競選歌曲，結合時代需求、年輕人喜歡的。
